Psychological services are not covered by OHIP.   Many private insurance plans do cover psychological assessment, and/or therapy.  Fees are paid at the time of appointment, and a receipt is provided.  This receipt should be submitted for reimbursement by your insurance company.  Please check with your insurance provider regarding details of your coverage.

I accept payment in the form of cash, email transfer, Visa or Mastercard.

A typical psychological assessment involves:

1) ability and achievement testing, conducted individually with the child (average: 6 hours)

2) collection/review of background information

3) parent/child/teacher interviews

4) administration and scoring of emotional/behavioural rating scales

5) scoring of tests (1-3 hours)

6) writing of a comprehensive report (5-7 hours)

7) feedback meeting (1 hour)

An hourly rate of $250 per hour is charged, thus, a typical assessment will cost approximately $3500 (based on 14 hours of service).  More complex assessments require additional testing and scoring/report writing time.  Various options are available regarding billing and payment, and can be discussed upon booking an appointment.
